Perhaps Peter Aspell said it best, "Joy's work is unique in that she has an unfailing sense of the abstract with a strong, almost cubist, sense of form. Joy's colour has a wide range from subtle black greys and beautiful whites to strong and passionate brilliance of hue. Anson is stylistically independent and distinct. She offers a magical world but her art, though filled with charm and nostalgia has a true contemporary feeling and is always that of a fine abstract artist.”

Beloved Vancouver Artist John Koerner peacefully passed away at his home on Sunday, February 23, 2014.

John's wife Lisa Koerner has asked that her deep appreciation be extended to all those who have expressed their condolences.

Now retired after 23 years of teaching painting and drawing at Capilano University, Nancy Boyd, as ever, maintains an active studio practice.

In her questions to herself about belief and meaning, Nancy's work dances at the intersection of science and aesthetics.

Her continuing exploration into these areas informs her work in its many incarnations, some recognizeable from the past, some probing into the future.
