She Stands in Her Culture

My passion for art making has always played a large and important role in my life, I have felt the need to convey ideas and thoughts pertaining to one's life journey. Passages of time, present, past, intimate, non intimate, historical passages, rights and wrongs - all these things essentially have been witnessed in my art. I fight for the under dog, the person less heard and I transform these thoughts into art works. The idea to Transfer - from one form to another allows us entry into the notion of leaving behind ... letting go ... to find a higher purpose - to move one's energy ... to become something other than what we are - shifted energies for the betterment of humankind !
