The execution of ideas and concepts in 3 dimensions is essential for me. I live surrounded by ocean, stone, trees and wind. To this "universe of elements" I enjoy the addition of fire and metal to form these works. Recent sculptures have incorporated hard angular metal shapes allowed to oxidize and "soften" to blend with the natural stone shapes incorporated. These pieces are on the human scale to be encountered as equals in our perceptual space. There is a joy to discover a pebble suspended unusually and "musically" out of its usual environment. My human intervention into the vast timescale of earthly erosion with a little "poem" for the witness of the moment.
