Mike Vandenberg

In conveying the forces of dusk, my work seeks to illuminate the rich transient moods of twilight; from its pensive and contemplative atmosphere to its passionate and dramatic light.

Reflected through the brilliance of twilight's expression of colour and ambiance, my recent works present a visually energetic connection of nature's intensity, while emphasizing the development of natural abstract spaces.  Essentially these skyscape paintings are interpreted to encompass the strong elements of composition and to enhance the structural design of light and movement.  Incorporating horizontal layers of vibrant colors juxtaposed with dynamic fragments of natural patterns produces a specific tension in the grandeur of the moment.
