I am interested in using a multidisciplinary art practice to buck the medium I'm in by transfusing it with influences better suited elsewhere. Making films on a canvas, assembling a progressing narrative within a single shot … I draw from theatre, film, literature, photography, and visual art, combining these influences into a kind of Situational Surrealism – an un-distorted rendering of a distorted event.
Meanwhile your own various haunts compel the mix … I'm not trying to be obscure by leaving the epilogue ajar, but wouldn't we better enjoy jumping the synapse gap between our parallel universes than me sending you little frozen bento boxes from the confines of infinite space? As Braque said, "I can explain everything about this painting … except what really matters about it".
Oh and uh … the-very-act-of-spending-hours-at-a-stretch-attending-a-meticulous-but-not-altogether-practical-task-is-itself-the-very-act, that sort of thing.
