These paintings are vibrant in their colours, echoing their intended environmental hope for future generations.

FROM YOSEMITE TO YUKON AND ALASKA
A Talk & Slide Show presented by Dominik Modlinski
Dominik's presentation centres around his passion and commitment to paint and record the natural environment of North America. Through his extensive travels, from the southern most tip of land to the far north, Modlinski witnesses and documents the natural beauty of our landscape, and in the process, is witness to the alarming speed of environmental change. Through his paintings a story is told of a person who lives on the land and is driven by adventure and desire to preserve the environment for future generations.
Over the last few years Dominik has witnessed the effect of rising temperatures both in the south and north of our continent; shrinking glaciers, river flooding, drought, disappearance of permafrost and wildlife behavioral change. Given that Dominik lives for a good part of the year traveling and painting on location, he has an intimate knowledge and understanding of those accelerating changes. Ever the optimist, he intends his work to portray hope and commitment to environmental preservation.
There is no cost to attend the presentation. An RSVP to the gallery would be appreciated.
